Privacy policy

Who we are
AudibleTour is an app and web service being built by Rhumb Line Apps LLC, a software studio in the United States. This policy covers the audibletour.com website. The AudibleTour visitor app and the back office for tour operators are not yet released; each will carry its own privacy notice before launch. We describe our intentions for them below.
What this website collects
We collect only what you type into our two forms.
- Request a pilot discussion: your name, your company, your work email address, the kind of operation you run, an approximate annual passenger volume if you choose to give one, your message, and whether you also want launch updates.
- Get launch updates: your email address.
We use these details to reply to you, to arrange a pilot discussion, and, if you asked for them, to send you news about the AudibleTour launch. We do not sell them, share them for advertising, or add you to any other list.
How the forms reach us
Form entries are delivered by Web3Forms, a form delivery service, which passes each entry to our company mailbox. Web3Forms describes its own handling of data at web3forms.com. Our mailbox is provided by Google Workspace, which stores the entries on our behalf.
Visitor logs and fonts
This site is hosted by GitHub Pages. GitHub may collect and log the IP addresses of visitors to keep the service secure and to meet its legal obligations; see GitHub's privacy statement. The site's typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, so Google receives your browser's request, including your IP address, when a page loads. We do not receive or keep this information ourselves.
Cookies and analytics
audibletour.com sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics, advertising, or tracking tools.
How long we keep your details
Pilot enquiries are kept while we are in conversation with you and for up to two years afterwards, so we can pick the thread up again. Launch list addresses are kept until we have announced the launch and sent the updates you asked for, or until you ask to be removed, whichever comes first. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.
The visitor app and the back office (not yet released)
Our intentions, which each product's own notice will confirm at launch:
- The visitor app will use the phone's location and Bluetooth to start each story at the right place. The position will be worked out on the phone itself. The app is designed to work offline and will not require an account.
- The back office will hold the tours that operator companies build and the accounts of the people who build them.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information you gave us, or ask us to stop contacting you, by emailing privacy@rhumblineapps.com. We answer within 30 days. If you live in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California, you may have further rights under local law, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Where your information is processed
Rhumb Line Apps LLC is based in the United States and processes information there. If you write to us from another country, your details are transferred to the United States.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top of the page. If a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you by email where we can.
